🚨 Targeted action in Chinatown🚨

This morning at 07:00am, officers from the Town Hall Neighbourhood Team carried out targeted action in Chinatown following an increase in reports of antisocial behaviour, including street drinking and drug use.

A large number of officers were deployed, and those present were detained. Numerous searches were completed, resulting in two arrests. Individuals were also moved on from the area, and intelligence was gathered to support ongoing work.

We will continue to carry out regular activity of this kind to tackle antisocial behaviour, prevent crime, and provide reassurance to our communities.

👮 Sergeant 16955 Lenihan - Smith said: “As part of our ongoing efforts to keep the community safe, we carried out a targeted operation in Chinatown. During this action, two individuals were arrested and others were moved on from the area. Our priority is always to reduce antisocial behaviour, disrupt criminal activity, and provide reassurance to local residents and businesses. Thank you to everyone in the community who continues to support our work—together we can make Chinatown a safer place for all.”
